perfect icing

ingredients

100g       confectioners sugar
1    tbs   milk
1/2  tsp   vanilla
--------------------------
*optionals*
1    tbs   milk (unflavored)
1    tbs   lemon juice (lemon flavor)
25g        cocao powder (chocolate)

instructions

  • mix all ingredients together thoroughly, keep chilled
  • try flavoring with orange juice, mulled zest, mulled fruit, melted chocolate, instant or brewed coffee & more!

pie crust

ingredients

300 g    flour
13 g     sugar
5 g      sea salt
1 cup    cold butter
~ 1 cup  ice water

instructions

  • mix dry ingredients, kneed in butter
  • slowly add in water
  • roll out to 1/4" thick. save leftover for top
  • bake at 400 for 15 min
  • pull from oven, add pie crust weights, bake another 10-15 min

pork stock

ingredients

1    pack    pork ribs (the cut up kind)
2            whole onions
3-5          cloves of garlic
2-5          whole tomatoes
salt and pepper to taste
water

instructions

  • season the pork ribs generously with salt and pepper
  • sear the ribs on a hot hot skillet
    • do not fully cook, you’re just tryna develop some flavors
  • place ribs in crock pot and fill water to one inch below top of meat
  • cook overnight on low
  • in the morning remove meat
  • in a stock pot caramelize one onion and sauté garlic until fragrant
  • pour in liquid and add the other onion and tomatoes cut into quarters
  • bring to a simmer and let sit until vegetables dissolve
  • run through a fine mesh sieve into jars

notes

this recipe is great when used to make [[veggie-stew]], [[ramen]], or savory-brunch-oats.

pound cake cookies

ingredients

1/2  cups    butter
1.5  cups    sugar
1/2  cups    vegetable oil
2            eggs
1    tsp     vanilla
3    cups    flour
1    tsp     baking powder
1/2  tsp     salt
--------------------------
*optionals*
4    zested  lemons

instructions

  • mix together like [[mags-pound-cake]]
  • let dough set in fridge for minimum 3 hours
  • bake in 350f oven for 10-15min until edges turn golden brown like a pound cake
  • glaze with perfect-icing or your favorite glaze recipe

these were an accidental recipe i came up with after messing up mags-pound-cake. they’re a hit, especially the lemon ones!

pulled pork

ingredients

1    pack    pork ribs (the cut up kind)
alt/ a boston butt
salt and pepper to taste
water

instructions

  • season the pork ribs generously with salt and pepper
  • sear the ribs on a hot hot skillet
    • do not fully cook, you’re just tryna develop some flavors
  • place ribs in crock pot and fill water to one inch below top of meat
  • cook overnight on low
  • in the morning remove from liquid and pull it apart
  • serve on your favorite bun or regular white bread with a real-good-bbq-sauce!
